We noticed a lot of chatter across the net on the idea that cloud- based hosting makes single-tenancy workable strategy for SaaS products. To get to the point of our article - it really isn't true. It may be a worthwhile, short term tactic but it is not supportable as a long term approach. Developments in “Cloud Computing” are interesting to us because broadly SaaS applications can be said to exist “in the cloud” and we use cloud-based infrastructure and services. One of the biggest areas of concern for new adopters of cloud computing has been interoperability and vendors in the field are well aware of the issues.
